ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN

11/21/2006 4:17:00 PM

Paolo Maldini has been speaking honestly about his future and will not make a decision until June.

Paolo Maldini spoke to Milan Channel ahead of the Champions League tie at AEK Athens and discussed his future. The captain said: 'Everything is going fine at the moment. I am playing consistently and that was in my head at the start of the season. I am pleased at the moment.

'There is no problem in renewing by contract, it something I will think about in June even if I might retire. That could change, anything could happen. At this stage of the season this is my idea.

'I will be 39 in June and it's past pensionable age for a player, but I don't want to look at this problem, neither renewing or retiring. What keeps me at the highest level is doing my best and having the desire and want.'
