In the day of its 108th birthday, Milan awarded itself the Club World Cup and the revenge against Boca: Argentinean side defeated 4-2, thanks to a brace by Inzagh and the goals of Nesta and Kaka.
YOKOHAMA - The objective has been reached, the dream has become a reality. Milan had defeated Boca Juniors and climbed on top of the world, for the fourth time in its history. In the day of the club's 108th birthday, the team gave itself the most desired and sweetest present: the trophy. As it happened in May against Liverpool in the Champions League final, Milan obtained the revenge: defeated by the Argentinean side in 2003, the Rossoneri, this time, did not make any mistakes and closed every matter in the 90 minutes without extra time, without penalties. In the first half Inzaghi took the Rossoneri ahead who suffered the draw by Palacio. In the second half Milan did not give up, on the contrary scored more goals: careful in defence, clinical upfront, the Milan players scored three goals to the Argentinean side and won the top spot. The goal of the 2-1 was signed by Nesta, who anticipated the third goal by Kaka and the fourth goa by Inzaghi. Between personal records, like the one made by Pippo, who scored in every international competition, and team records, Milan is up there. On top of the world. Thanks and well done lads!
