AWAITING APRIL

3/23/2009 8:16:00 AM

A draw that all in all satisfies Carlo Ancelotti and Adriano Galliani, who now await with confidence next April, in which we will play at home in 3 games out of 4. Paolo Maldini the best of Milan.

NAPLES - Here are the declarations of coach Carlo Ancelotti and Delegate Administrator Adriano Galliani after Napoli-Milan 0-0:

'A positive draw even though we could have made better use of our chances in the first half. We couldn't manage to pick up speed, and take advantage of the numerical superiority there was in certain phases of the first half. We didn't manage to impose ourselves on a Napoli team who showed some fear at the start. Then, in the second half, the match was more balanced, they had some more chances. We became a bit more spread out, more unbalanced, and Napoli gained confidence: I'd say the result was right. On our part we showed the right determination.'

'I replaced Favalli because he had a problem to his thigh, he wasn't able to continue.'

'Pato and Ronaldinho did not do badly together, even though Ronaldinho tends to position himself in the center-left so Pato has to move to the right. He prefers the other position, that's why in the second half he had some difficulties.'

'Genoa are now 4 points away. They are a dangerous team, we have to be careful. Now, however, we have 3 home games out of 4: we have to try and stretch the distance in April.'

Adriano Galliani also expressed this concept:

'Tonight we did a little worse than Siena but we played against a good team, on a difficult pitch, and the coaching change always gives new motivation to the players. We didn't have many shots on goal, we didn't play a great match but the result is alright. We didn't lose, that's the important thing. 4 points above Genoa is a good margin, it's more than one match. Now we have 3 games out of 4 at home: let's hope we accelerate in April.'

'Kaká is not feeling good, he still has some pain. Now he will go to the national team, and in the meantime we will try to recover some players.'

'For how I see football, Paolo Maldini played a great match.'
