ZAMBROTTA: "We need everybody's support"

MILAN - Gianluca Zambrotta, former Bari player and on the verge of equalling Marco Tardelli with 81 appearances for the national team insisted: "I hope that the Bari fans tomorrow will not whistle us. It's true that Cassano is not there, but it will be a tough clash against Trapattoni's Ireland. We need everybody's support. In the past the people whistled me when they found us that I was leaving. 81 games like Tardelli? What an honour, I hope to celebrate them. It will have a certain affect facing him and the Trap; both coached me."
