Demetrio Albertini

Demetrio Albertini, born in 1971, was a product of the Rossoneri youth sector. He played under both Arrigo Sacchi and Fabio Capello. Demetrio made his debut at the tender age of 17 during the 1988/89 season and played a leading role in Capello’s side in the 1991/92 season when he won his first league title. As a fixture in the middle of the field, Albertini had great insight into the game: it was him who dictated the timing of the team moving forward, which is why everyone called him the “Metronome”. He had extraordinary technical qualities as well as a truly admirable sense of fair play. During his time with Milan, he won 5 league titles, 2 Champions Leagues, 2 Uefa Super Cups and three Italian Super Cups.
