The Primavera return to the summit in Italy following an intense, hard-fought, and emotional final stretch. Matteo Zago's Rossonere beat Sassuolo on penalties to claim their second Scudetto, following the title in 2024 (that final was also against Sassuolo on 11 May). This is a victory that, once more, validates the continuity and quality of a growing project, which continues to produce talented young players, culminating in a result as fine as this one. The final, which finished 2-2 after normal time and then extra time, was an even contest, played at a high tempo and full of twists and turns. Our Rossonere twice took the lead, through Vitale in the first half and Strauss in the second, but the Neroverde never gave up, and equalised through Andersone in the 92nd minute.

Zago's side showed maturity, reacting well to both of the hosts' goals. It's a sign of great mental fortitude, juxtaposed with Sassuolo's utter desire to never give up, in front of the home crowd. After the 30 minutes of extra time, the Rossonere made no mistakes from the spot, and Balloli stole the show between the sticks, making two saves to wrap up the shoot-out before Cortinovis' decisive final spot kick. Thereafter occurred the celebrations and trophy lift for a victory that speaks to a solid team and a group that has managed to build a clear identity over time.

    MATCH REPORT
It was a bristling start the game, as both sides went at it at a high tempo. The Rossonere twice came close to an early opener, through Arboleda and Strauss from close range. Sassuolo's Vianello then hit the crossbar from range. In the 23rd minute, AC Milan opened the scoring through Vitale, who latched onto a bouncing ball in the box and fired home to give the Rossonere a deserved lead. The hosts, however, kept at it, and at the start of the second half, Vianello made it 1-1 with a fine finish. It didn't take long for the Rossonere to react, and Strauss restored their lead following a great assist by Appiah (61').

The Rossonere began to control proceedings, but Sassuolo never gave up and came close to equalising through Stanic, who was denied brilliantly by Belloli. In stoppage time, the hosts attacked with determination and drew level thanks to Andersone's wonderful solo goal. Tiredness began to set in during extra time, though, in the 115th minute, Sassuolo had a chance through Venturelli, but she couldn't convert. It went to penalties, and AC Milan were flawless from the spot, while Belloli won the day with two saves that saw the Rossonere crowned champions of Italy following an intense encounter.
