MILAN – The club’s joint-CEO Adriano Galliani has given an interview to Premium Sport:
"I will always remember the final played in Barcelona in 1989, a spectacular game, the stadium was full of Milan fans. That was the greatest emotion without a doubt. In the 1960s, the Milanese teams dominated in Europe: let’s hope we can get back to winning the competition again soon. The city of Milan will be successful again in football, just like it has shown in other sectors, the foundations are there, the brands as well as the stadium which has been renovated for the final and is fantastic. Milan and Inter were the last two Italian teams to win the Champions League. Everything goes in cycles. Both us and Inter will be back. I am happy for Torres, he is a good lad and we are often in touch. I am happy that he is back playing in a Champions League final. Italian Cup final? When you win, everything is great, when you lose everything is wrong. We have to restore winning ways but we cannot overlook the fact that we played the final with a goalie, Donnarumma, born in 1999, a right back, Calabria, born in 1996, a centre back, Romagnoli, born in 1995 while De Sciglio is 23. We didn’t deserve to lose and no one took notice of these aspects. El Shaarawy? Around the 21st of June, Roma will decide whether to make his move permanent or not. We are not open to other negotiations. Roma have an option to buy him, but if they don’t exercise their option, he will come back to us."
