The first loss on the road for Allegri’s players this afternoon. Milan started well but fell at end. 2-1 was the final result from Udine with El Shaarawy scoring for the visitors. The Rossoneri ended the match with nine players on the pitch after both Yepes and Boateng were sent off.
MILAN – Milan’s negative run continues at Udine with no lack of bad luck in a 2-1 loss. It’s the third loss in four in this year’s Serie A campaign. Milan started with the same 4-3-3 formation seen against Anderlecht with El Shaarawy up front instead of Boateng and with Zapata, Mesbah, Ambrosini and Montolivo back for the visitors. The side started very well and on 6’ Pazzini hit a shot that Brkic put out for a corner. The team is up for it and it shows on 8’. A great move from Allegri’s players and the home side keeper is superlative against El Shaarawy. The Friulani respond with a right footed shot from Pinzi. Then the hosts start to play their way into the game. Di Natale tried twice with no luck and Benatia brought the best out of Abbiati on 33’. Milan try to react with El Shaarawy looking particularly active. On 40’ though, it’s Udinese who take the lead. Ranegie does well to get onto the end of a free kick ahead of Mexes and Abbiati. The team went into the changing rooms with the score at 1-0 for the hosts.
No changes at the break and Abbitati is immediately called into action by Allan. On 7’ Ambrosini comes off for Boateng and from the new entry’s initiative, the Rossoneri find the equalizer. Pazzini finds El Shaarawy who knocks it in. Udinese absorb the blow well however and come back fighting. On 20’ Abbaiti did well to save from Di Natale. Two minutes later and Zapata gets two bookings inside a minute and leaves the field. The second card was for a handball which gave the home side the penalty and Di Natale made no mistake. Acerbi and Bojan came on for Emanuelson and Nocerino but then on 37’, Boateng gets his second booking and has to leave the field. Udinese win and it’s a Sunday to forget for the Rososneri.
