First Team

Robinho wants to stay in Milan nd said as much to the Gazzetta dello Sport today. Here’s more of what he had to say:

MILAN – “A new contract? We can certainly talk about that. First of all I want to end the season in the best way and then we can talk about these things. These next few matches won’t be my last for the Rossoneri. I never asked to leave the club. It was Santos who came in for me. I spoke to my family about it and we have decided to stay. I explained to Galliani that it was a family matter and not a football one and there’s nothing I’m lacking here at Milan.”

Robinho also appears in the pages of Il Giornale: “I’m playing less this season for two reasons. El Shaarawy has exploded on the scene and there’s also balotelli, Niang, Bojan and Pazzini. The second reason is that I’ve had some injury problems. Now that I’m back fit, the choice is up to Allegri. I have a lot of respect for the coach and my team mates, but if it was up to me, I’d already be back on the pitch by now. It’s not true that I only play well on the left. I can play everywhere and anywhere.”
