On July 31st Bayern Munich, Manchester City, AC Milan and San Paolo will go head-to-head in the Audi Cup 2013.
MILANO - The enthusiasm for the Audi Cup 2013 is building up.
More than 80,000 tickets have been sold for the matches between Bayern Munich, Manchester City, AC Milan and San Paolo.
Manchester City and Milan will be the curtain raiser for the 2013 Audi Cup, on July 31st. Following that, the treble-winning German team, Bayern Munich, will play Brazilian side San Paolo. Tickets have been selling fast with more than half already gone as the excitement surrounding the mini-tournament grows.
With four top teams from around the world ready to do battle and everyone will be keen to see Pep Guardiola's first appearance on the Munich bench following the German team's incredible season with victory in all three major competitions, the Bundesliga, the Champions League and the domestic cup. The first semifinal will be between Manchester City, champions of England in the 2011/12 season, and the seven times European champions Milan. The current European champions, Bayern Munich, will take on South American cup holders San Paolo.
The final will be played on August 1st and ill decide who will follow in the footsteps of previous winners Bayern Munich and Barcelona, in 2011 and 2009 respectively.
