MILAN - The Milan squad landed in Amsterdam at 6pm this evening to warm temperatures of 16 degrees and sunshine.

The players left Schipol airport and made their way immediately to the Amsterdam Arena for the usual inspection of the pitch.

Massimiliano Allgeri held the usual press conference and spoke of Mario Balotelli's relaxed attitude after a controversial week. He said: "I think Balotelli is relaxed, he just has to think about playing football, he has to learn to have respect for other players and for the referees. For now I have Balotelli available and I will do as well after the international break. Prandelli will decide what to do with him (laughs)."

The game against Ajax is a chance for the rossoneri to move on to six points in the table which would give them a big chance of qualifying from the group. Allegri said: "Ajax are a very intense side, a bit like PSV where we struggled a lot in the first few minutes. We have to do well in these situations, there is a lot at stake. A victory would allow us to go into the Barca game with a relaxed approach. In he league we have to pull our sleeves up but tomorrow we need to approach the game with a lot of focus and a good deal of skill."

Milan continue to be unlucky with injuries. The latest casualty is Stephan El Shaawary who has a hairline fracture to a metatarsal in his left foot after a clash in training on Monday morning.

"We are very unlucky at the moment.Up until now Milan's injuries have been 80% trauma injuries and only a wizard knows why the rest are muscular injuries. If I had known that El Shaarawy was going to get injured I would not have made him train."

Nigel De Jong sat next to Allegri during the press conference and spoke about the players missing and those coming back. "Montolivo and Balotelli are important players. It is a shame about El Shaarawy, thet he isn't here. Monto is the captain and his return is important to us and Balo is also very important for us and he has to show that tomorrow. My form is mirrored by that of the team, it is imrpoving. If I look at the results in the league then I know we can do better. We have to do our best to win the game tomorrow."
