"SAN SIRO PER TUTTI": AC MILAN RECEIVE AN AWARD

The Rossoneri's initiative recognised by the Institute for the Blind in Milan: Gazidis and Massaro in attendance

The stadium as a meeting point without barriers. This was AC Milan's guiding principle as they launched the "San Siro per tutti" project promoting inclusion. Today, on the 61st National Day for the Blind in Italy, this initiative received an award from the Istituto dei Ciechi di Milano (Institute for the Blind in Milan).

The President of the Institute, Rodolfo Masto, praised the project, which has seen matches be described to people with visual disabilities through an audio-description service provided by a commentator since AC Milan v Frosinone on 19 May. Rossoneri CEO Ivan Gazidis was in attendance and collected a plaque dedicated to the the Club's work and the activities it is carrying out to promote inclusion.

Daniele Massaro, a spokesman for the initiative, also attended and had the following to say in front of a packed audience: "A few weeks ago, I had an incredible experience: I attended AC Milan v Napoli in the Settore Arancio at San Siro with a group of visually impaired people. I got to experience the game in the same way that they do: I put on a blindfold and a pair of earphones. It was a unique feeling, I still feel emotional. Those who took me in said the following words to me: I saw your goals and lost my sight afterwards, thank you for what you've given me. I got so emotional and would like to experience moments like this again. I'm at your disposal."
