Cutrone and Kessie's goals turn it around as the Rossoneri clinch a home win against Parma
In front of almost 55,000 fans, Gattuso's Rossoneri make no mistake against Parma taking home a well-deserved victory on Matchday 14. It was not an easy match as Milan found themselves trailing early in the second spell after controlling the game in the first 45 minutes and once again showing great character to turn things around. Bakayoko displayed another convincing performance along with Patrick Cutrone - who scored with a beautiful volley to equalise - and Ignazio Abate who played centre-back supported by Zapata, showing all his experience and blocking Parma's attacks. In the end, AC Milan take three precious points home from this midday meeting and are now fourth in the league with 25 points looking confidently to the next home game against Torino, next Sunday 9th December at 20.30. Another battle to fight.
Rossoneri are off to an attacking start and have their first real chance through Zapata who does well to head the ball towards goal but Sepe is there to block the Colombia international's attempt.
In the 10th minute, the visitors fail to convert with Barillà as the Italian midfielder poorly controls a ball inside the area as he was looking to hammer it into the net. Back on the other side of the pitch with another chance for AC Milan: this time it's Suso to drill a cross in with Cutrone unable to get to the end of it.
Gattuso's men enjoy the lions' share of possession in the first half though failing to trouble Parma's keeper as the first spell ends in a nil-nil draw.
With the match back underway Parma take the lead as Roberto Inglese heads home from a resulting corner. The Rossoneri immediately react as Cutrone hammers in a brilliant goal with a great volley that smacks off the inside of the post and into the net. It's the 55th minute. In the 70' the game-changing decision: Parma's defender Bastoni hands the ball inside the box with the Video Assistant Referee conceding a penalty to the Rossoneri. Kessie from the spot sends Sepe the wrong way as Milan go in front. It's 2-1. Gattuso's boys now play on the counter and go close to killing the game though waste several chances: first Kessie fires high from inside the box, then it's Cutrone who fails to convert with his left-footer blocked by a Parma defender but the score won't change and San Siro can celebrate.
