BEST ASSIST 2022/23: LEÃO WINS

Let's face it, only Rafael Leão could have won. The dribble, too overpowering, the touch for Giroud to finish, too smart, as he laid the ball on a plate for his teammate to finish. The best Rossoneri assist of the 2022/23 season, voted by our fans, came from the Portuguese. We are of course talking about the 1-0 win against Napoli at the Stadio Maradona in the quarter-final of the Champions League. In the 43rd minute, Leão took it upon himself to make the difference, picking up the ball in his own half, leaving Ndombele behind, skipping past Di Lorenzo's challenge, leaving Rrahmani on the floor before sliding the ball across the box leaving an open goal for Giroud, effectively booking our place in the semifinals. A devastating acceleration, on a physical and technical level, on what was probably the highlight of last season. Congratulations Rafa!
