OP-ED: 57 YEARS A MILANISTA

I’ve now been an AC Milan fan for 57 years, and I remember my first game very well: Benfica v AC Milan on 22 May 1963. I was drawn to the club by my beloved Rivera, I was 12 at the time and I can say I’ve never “cheated on you”. It wasn’t until 8 January 2006 that I finally got to go to San Siro, for AC Milan 4-3 Parma. Entering San Siro was a dream come true for me, seeing the Rossoneri on the field an indescribable joy and I even got to meet Kaká after the match! I’m now a pensioner so I was able to get a season ticket to San Siro even though I live in the south of Italy and the trip is long but it’s well worth it for my Milan. Now, I only have two dreams left, to see us win our eighth Champions League and to meet Rivera.
