The four teams of Group H in the Europa League will play all of their respective city derbies within an incredibly close timeframe. Just five days before the clash between Celtic and AC Milan, 17 October will see both the Derby della Madonnina and the Old Firm derby unfold, with the two derbies taking place on the same day.
Derby Saturday will begin at 13:30 CEST with Celtic against Rangers at Celtic Park. Four and a half hours later, it'll be the Derby della Madonnina's turn to kick off, with Inter facing AC Milan. The Nerazzurri's encounter against the Rossoneri last February was the last time Inter played a league fixture at San Siro in front of a crowd, before the lockdown and temporary suspension of the league.
Lille v Lens will kick off the following day, on Sunday 18 October. The two teams of the Derby du Nord currently make up second and third place in the Ligue 1 after six matchdays. The match will be at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy, a place where Lens haven't won away at since 2003. The most heated past derby between the two is remembered by most as the time Balmont caused a brawl, with the score ending Lens 1-4 Lille on 11 November 2010. That match saw Gervinho bag a brace.
And Sparta Prague? For their derby fixture, we’ll have to wait a little bit longer. But not much: Sparta Prague v Slavia Prague kicks off at 14:30 CEST on 7 November on Matchday Eight in the Czech top flight.
