Roma again, eleven months later. There are the Giallorossi next on the path that could lead the AC Milan women's Primavera team to its first Scudetto Final. Coach Corti's Rossoneri arrive at the Final Four in Cologno al Serio, which kicks off on Friday 12 May, on the strength of second place after a great season, with a long series of consecutive victories and the gem of the historic victory in the Viareggio Women's Cup. Now they play for the Tricolore, against the team that won the last three Scudetto's and that is the only team they didn't beat in 2022/23 (1-2 at the PUMA House of Football, 3-3 away).
Among those still in the Semifinal against the reigning champions - it will be played on Friday 12 May at 11.00 CEST, live streaming on the FIGC website and on the YouTube channel of the Women's Football Division - there is also Oona Sevenius, who arrived during the course of the season but managed to score eight goals in the league and one goal also in the Final of the Viareggio Tournament. "I have seen, in these months, how much the team has grown over the course of the season," her words on the eve of the match. "This is a strong team, with a special spirit. We will give and give everything to win the match."
The Finnish player was also very clear in identifying the key to the match against the Giallorossi: "It will be a tense, important match. Roma is a very strong team with great individual players, I expect a very intense match with a great quality of play, in which the teams will give their best to get to the final". In fact, two of the top three attacks - Roma first, tied with Juventus, with 81 goals; AC Milan third with 75 - of the season, but also two of the top three defences (AC Milan second with 21 goals conceded, Roma third with 24) of the entire Primavera 1 championship year will be competing in Cologno al Serio.
The strength of the Rossonere group is also testified by the many players capable of scoring goals during this season - sixteen, with Renzotti at 16 and Galdini at 10, the top two scorers of the season - but also by the spirit of a team capable of overturning a result to their own advantage, and ready to face the fixture that can make an applaudable season even more memorable. The Rossoneri's confidence in their own means is high, testifying to the important growth they have had over the months. Sevenius also reiterates this:"I believe in this team and in the fact that, playing as we know, we are able to obtain a positive result". Forza ragazze!
