TONALI TURNS PROVIDER FOR THE U21S, WINS FOR BENNACER AND KESSIE

Sandro stars against Bosnia, wins for Algeria and Ivory Coast on the road to Qatar 2022

Sandro Tonali's rich vein of form continued as AC Milan's number 8 - and our MVP for September - captained Italy U21 to a big 2-1 win over Bosnia-Herzegovina in Euro 2023 qualifying. He assisted Okoli and Vignato to score as Nicolato's side took their third win in as many games. Sandro and the Azzurrini are back in action against Sweden in Monza on Tuesday afternoon.

There were also big wins for Bennacer and Kessie in the race for Qatar 2022. The two Rossoneri midfielders were standout performers in the wins for Algeria and Ivory Coast respectively, as the two sides both remained top of their respective groups in the second stage of African qualifying. Isma got 78 minutes in a 6-1 win at home over Niger, while Franck played the full 90 as Les Éléphants beat Malawi 3-0 on neutral ground in Johannesburg.

90 minutes for Kalulu too. He played in France U21’s 5-0 win over their Ukrainian counterparts.
