The Rossoneri "derby" in the Nations League goes the way of Simon Kjær. AC Milan's number 24 came on in the 72nd minute of Denmark's 2-0 win over France, winning his 121st cap in the process. Simon is now just eight appearances away from the current record held by Peter Schmeichel. Denmark, in the end, didn't reach the Final Four next June due to Croatia's victory over Austria, which also saved France from potential relegation. Olivier Giroud started for the reigning world champions alongside Mbappé in Deschamps' 3-4-1-2, before being brought off in the 65th minute.
Belgium were also beaten, losing 1-0 to the Netherlands in Amsterdam. Charles De Ketelaere replaced Batshuayi at the break and played the entire second half, while Alexis Saelemaekers remained an unused substitute.
