It was a great weekend for the Rossoneri youth teams: The main stars were Coach Corti's Primavera Women who, in their ‘real’ season opener, beat Juventus 1-0 at Vismara. Monica Renzotti's free kick at the end of the first half proved decisive for the Rossonere, who will have to replay their Matchday 1 fixture against Sampdoria after it was postponed due to bad weather. The weekend for the youth teams had opened with a great comeback victory for the Under 16s, a 4-3 thriller away at Verona. Down 3-0, Coach Abate's team produced an incredible comeback, with three goals between the 79th and 87th minute, to achieve their first league success.
There were also winning debuts for the other Rossoneri Underage teams in action over the weekend for the first time this season: The boy’s U14s and U13s; girls’ U17s, U15s and U12s. The Under 17 team also did well, recording their third victory in four games against Venezia, and the Under 15 team climbed to maximum points from the first two matchdays.
Here are all of this weekend's results in detail.
