FIRST WIN FOR THE PRIMAVERA: 2-1 AT LECCE

Three goals, four red cards: Roback and Capone respond to Hasic. Finally the Rossoneri can smile

It was needed, it was time: in Lecce, on the sixth matchday day of the season, AC Milan Primavera secured their first victory. A success, but also the ‘spoils of war’. On one hand, the goals from Roback and Capone helped overturn Hasic's opener and decide the final score (2-1) within the first quarter of an hour of the match, while on the other hand there were four players sent off - two for each team; in order, Tolomello, Burnete, Lemmens and Gala in a dirty second half. The first three points of the season for Coach Giunti’s boys could only be sweaty, challenging affair: the team did well to react to negative situations such as the opponent’s goal and the red card to Tolomello, and they were also lucky with Capone's goal with the fundamental involvement of Torok.

The Rossoneri brought home a delicate match and a truly precious three points. Bringing them further up the table, the team now have five points in the table, and the morale of the team will certainly grow more confident from here on. After several excellent tests, it was necessary to win. Let's hope it's the turning point, only the next performances will tell: next up is AC Milan v Fiorentina, another fixture in the Primavera 1 that is scheduled for Sunday 31 October at 10:45 CEST at Vismara.

MATCH REPORT

A start to forget; after two minutes, Lecce were already ahead: following a corner, Hasic did well in the air to win the decisive header. AC Milan's reaction, after another scare created by Gonzàlez, was commendable. First came the equaliser in the 10th minute: Kerkez's cross and Robotti's volleyed assist for Roback who slotted it into the net. Then the overtaking on 15 minutes: Capone shot from a tight angle, and Torok's intervention to deceive Borbei was decisive. The initial barrage came to an end as the game dropped in tempo, but after half an hour it rekindled: Capone tried a shot from distance in the 36th minute that didn’t work; in the 38th minute there was some nice play by Andrea once again, setting up Gala whose right-footed shot from the edge of the box went too high; a double chance fell for Back in the 40th minute, while in the 44th minute another right from Gala was blocked by the goalkeeper. Half-Time.

The game restarted without changes and with a new effort from a distance by Capone. The Rossoneri squandered a great opportunity: in the 51st minute, Robotti shot straight at Borbei. The battle became fiercer, it was fought at the expense of noteworthy attacking actions. In the 70th minute, the Rossoneri were a step away from the comfort of a third goal: a quick restart saw Kerkez carry the ball forward and hit the post with a left-footed shot. The game then lost order and discipline in the 74th minute, when the referee expelled Tolomello (second yellow card). It was a very spicy end to the game, with red cards shown to Burnete and Lemmens within a minute for protesting. The numerical inferiority of the Giallorossi didn’t last long because Gala was then expelled in injury time (foul play). The best chance, however, came to Rossi, who was beaten back in the area. Final whistle.
