Blood, sweat, tears. In a word, Primavera. AC Milan’s Primavera have recorded their fifth league win after also beating Atalanta. After six matchdays they sit clear at the top of the table with 16 points; 2 more than Inter, just like the senior team. It wasn’t as if more signs were needed, Abate’s team had already established themselves before defeating the Bergamo side, a difficult visitor. The afternoon at the PUMA House of Football proved once again the squad’s potential. In attendance was Giorgio Furlani, CEO of the Club, alongside Head of the Youth Sector, Vincenzo Vergine, in the packed out stadium.
The 3-1 result was the product of the opposition advantage (Vlahović), Victor's equaliser, Zeroli taking us into the lead and then getting another for his brace, the result of a bicycle kick. It was a show of desire, ideas, character, and even reaction after going behind. The golden age continues: the boys are doing something huge in Italy and in Europe. And it is deserved, hard-earned, the destination of a journey that began a long time ago. Well done to them all. Now there will be the international break, the Primavera will return to play on Saturday 21 October at 11:00 CEST away to Roma. Another big match coming up, we can't wait.

MATCH REPORT
Ready, AC Milan went out on the attack straight away with great mastery and determination. Action all one way: in the 9th minute, Victor shoots and the goalkeeper makes a weak save but somehow keeps it out. In the 12th minute, after a good passage of play, Perucci played on Bonomi whose low shot flew just wide. Jiménez, playing well, pushed forward in the 22nd minute, getting a shot away from the centre of the box that almost hit the post. Camarda put Stalmach through on goal in the 30th minute, Pardel saved the shot that looked like it was going in. After dominating the first half an hour, Atalanta turned up to cause AC Milan some trouble. A fast restart in the 35th minute, Martinelli swerved and went one step away from the goal. It looked like a one-time threat, but really it was leading up to the goal. In the 38th minute, the Castiello-Bonanomi link up effort drops to Vlahović in the centre of the area and he beats Bartoccioni.
The unexpected and undeserved advantage shook the Rossoneri a little. The match was also nervy after the break. The start of the second half didn’t offer much but it’s the hosts that try and try again: in the 62nd minute, Pardel deflected the dangerous cross from Scotti and Zeroli got his head to it but sent it over the bar. Four minutes later, the same Kevin has another go, this time shooting high from a distance. The equaliser arrived in the 67th minute, deserved after a lot of hard work. From just outside the box, Victor blasted a powerful left-footed shot right into the back of the net. The Rossoneri, not happy to settle for a draw, turned up the heat, going ahead just a few minutes later. Victor took the corner and Zeroli got his head to it, finding their second goal at 72’. Almost over and the substitutions help out. In the final minute, the captain scored his scene-stealing second goal to get a brace. Scotti put it in the middle and the rest is a spectacular overhead kick. Final whistle.
