It couldn’t have been anyone else but him once more: Zlatan Ibrahimović, the best player on the pitch in AC Milan’s final game of the season. A leader, a standout figure, an example to all and a team player: since his return, the Swede has proven to be a timeless champion and someone who can still make the difference at the highest level. He’s managed to score ten goals in 18 matches, the last of which came against Cagliari in the Rossoneri’s 3-0 win at San Siro. It was a goal that not only allowed him to achieve double figures for the season in Serie A, but one which also helped him win the MVP award.
Ibra received 57% of the vote share, finishing ahead of Leão (19%), Castillejo (14%) and Gabbia (10%). On the final matchday, Ibrahimović was once again decisive and a real force in attack. On the pitch from beginning to end, he was the Rossoneri player to have the most shots on target (three), shots saved (two) and shots blocked (two), while he also produced the most lay-offs (two). In great shape and full of hunger, he was at his creative best and also managed to get on the scoresheet. He truly is a unique and precious presence at the Club. Long live Zlatan!
