DÍAZ BRACE, GOALS FOR KRUNIĆ AND KESSIE

Spain U21 win; Bosnia, Norway and Romania out; Belgium 1-1 Ivory Coast

It was an eventful evening for various international Rossoneri last night. Six players were involved, three of whom scored: Díaz, Krunić and Kessie. In general, AC Milan's players played well and got a good amount of minutes.

Brahim had a fantastic game. His brace was decisive as Spain U21 beat the Faroe Islands 2-0. In the European qualifying game in Tórshavn, the young Spaniard led the team with a second-half brace: the first was a powerful effort (51'), the second a precise one (91'). La Roja consolidated their position at the top of their group on 19 points.

On the other had, Rade's goal was not enough. Bosnia and Herzegovina lost on penalties at home in the Euro 2020 play-offs. Krunić opened the scoring in Sarajevo with a low shot from inside the box (14'), but Niall McGinn's equaliser and missed penalties from Hajradinović and Višća meant that Northern Ireland went through. Hauge and Tătărușanu also tasted the bitterness of play-off defeat. Jens Petter was an unused substitute in Norway's 2-1 loss to Serbia after extra time. A Milinković-Savić brace proved pivotal in Oslo. Ciprian started and played the full 90 minutes in Romania's 2-1 loss to Iceland as a Sigurðsson brace guided the hosts to victory in Reykjavik.

Finally, in a game with Rossoneri on either side, Saelemaekers and Kessie faced off as Belgium took on Ivory Coast. The friendly in Brussels ended 1-1: Alexis assisted Batshuayi's opener before Franck equalised from the penalty spot.
