TONALI STARS AS ITALY U21S GET OFF ON THE RIGHT FOOT

Sandro plays a key role in the Azzurrini's 3-0 victory over Luxembourg in Euro 2023 qualifying

Sandro Tonali was the only Rossoneri player to take to the pitch in yesterday's international fixtures. And the midfielder from Lodi continued his impressive form in Italy U21s' 3-0 win over Luxembourg, the Azzurrini's first Euro 2023 qualifying match.

Indeed, the AC Milan No.8 provided an assist for Pirola's goal to open the scoring, while he also took the free kick that Olesen diverted into his own net. Meanwhile, Alessandro Plizzari remained on the bench. For Nicolato's Italy, it was a performance that will have built up confidence ahead of their second qualifier on Tuesday, when they'll face Montenegro in Vicenza.
