PULISIC PERFORMS WELL WITH THE USA, JASHARI ALSO IN ACTION

A summary of the Rossoneri's friendly matches ahead of the World Cup

Several AC Milan players were in action across the United States recently, one of the host nations for the upcoming World Cup. In San Diego, at Snapdragon Stadium, Ardon Jashari came on in the 71st minute in place of Manzambi during Switzerland’s 1-1 draw with Australia. The Rossoneri midfielder played the final 20 minutes plus stoppage time, adding valuable match fitness as he continues his preparations with the Swiss national team.

Meanwhile, in Chicago, the United States played their final warm-up match before hosting the World Cup, suffering a 2-1 defeat to Germany. Leroy Sané scored the decisive goal shortly before the hour mark after Kai Havertz had given Germany the lead. Antonee Robinson had levelled for the Americans from a corner delivered by Christian Pulisic, who started the match and remained on the pitch for 62 minutes. Following his goal and assist against Senegal, it was another encouraging performance from the Rossoneri winger ahead of the tournament.

Back in Europe, at Lisbon’s Estádio Nacional do Jamor, Portugal edged Chile 2-1 in a fiercely contested encounter. Rafael Leão left the field in the 47th minute following an incident late in the first half that also involved Chile defender Román, who was sent off in the same episode. Belgium, meanwhile, recorded a commanding 5-0 victory over Tunisia in another World Cup warm-up fixture. Neither Koni De Winter nor Alexis Saelemaekers featured for the Red Devils.
