Another two friendlies, two Serie A matchdays and a match in the second round of qualification for next season's Europa League. A strange year of football in 2020 will be getting back underway this September: after wrapping up the 2019/2020 season with our 3-0 victory over Cagliari, our first clashes of the 2020/21 season have now been scheduled. After our friendly with Novara, the Rossoneri will be facing Monza, at 20:45 CEST on Saturday 5, at San Siro, and Vicenza on Wednesday 9 September at Milanello.
Our first competitive fixture will take place on 17 September, with the Rossoneri facing Shamrock Rovers at the Tallaght Stadium in Dublin in a straight knockout tie. Then, on the weekend of 19/20 September, we will be getting underway with our 2020/21 Serie A campaign, with Bologna paying us a visit at San Siro. Should the Rossoneri get through in the Europa League against the Irish side, AC Milan will then be returning to San Siro to face the winner of the clash between Bodø/Glimt and Žalgiris Vilnius, in another straight knockout tie.
After that, we'll be back in action in Serie A: on the 26/27 September, Stefano Pioli's side will be facing Crotone at the Stadio Scida on the second matchday of the season. The play-off to secure our place in the Europa League group stages is scheduled for 1 October.
AC MILAN WOMEN
Maurizio Ganz's Rossonere, after two wins on their first two matchdays of the season, will play their first match of Saturday 5 at 17:45, when they will be hosting Pink Bari at the Vismara. This will be the Rossonere's only match of the month, with an international break keeping them occupied for the remainder of the month. On September 27, however, the Coppa Italia will start with the group stage, a novelty introduced by the new formula.
