Another 1-0 defeat, another second-half goal conceded. After their loss against Atalanta at Vismara, the Rossoneri were also narrowly beaten by Juventus in the league today, with Pisapia’s 84th-minute goal proving to be the difference. This time around, the biggest regret is the fact that the Diavolo conceded in the closing stages. In the end, Coach Giunti’s team succumbed to a Juventus side who, spurred on by their substitutes, put their foot on the accelerator in the second half, allowing them to finally break the deadlock with six minutes to go. Once again, AC Milan failed to find the net, an aspect that is beginning to weigh heavily and which will have to be improved as soon as possible. In spells, however, and especially towards the end of the first half, the Rossoneri performed well, creating (and wasting) a number of opportunities. With matchday three now over, our Primavera side remain on three points. It’s now time for the international break, an important period where the team will be looking to continue their work in the same spirit as before. Once the international fixtures are over, the Diavolo will be aiming to bounce back when Torino v AC Milan is played in Turin.

REPORT
The Bianconeri began brightly, putting together threatening moves in attack: in the seventh minute, there was a speculative shot by Leo, while Jungdal was able to push away an effort by Bonetti with twelve minutes on the clock. The Rossoneri then started to come out of their shell: Tonin’s volley in the 14th minute was imprecise, as was Olzer’s free kick after 34 minutes. In between these two attempts, Da Graca also had an effort at goal. Five minutes before half-time, Capone combined with Olzer before striking inches wide, while Di Gesù then hit the base of the upright with a precise effort from the edge of the box in the 43rd minute. On the 45-minute mark, Garofani denied Tonin.
Juve were more aggressive at the start of the second half too, but the Diavolo were still the more dangerous team: in the 56th minute, Capone fired Di Gesù’s cross over the bar. The hosts then started to ramp up the pressure, with Jungdal doing well to keep out attempts by Cotter (80’) and Da Graca (82’). However, the AC Milan goalkeeper wasn’t able to do anything about the 84th-minute winner, which was scored by Pisapia after the same player had initially hit the post. There wasn’t enough time to respond and the Primavera ultimately fell to defeat.
