PRIMAVERA KNOCKED OUT IN THE SECOND HALF: 2-1 TO NAPOLI AT VISMARA

It all happened in the second half on Matchday 5: Traorè's goal wasn’t enough for the Rossoneri

AC Milan Primavera fell to their third defeat of the season after losing 2-1 to Napoli at Vismara on matchday five of the Primavera 1 championship. After a balanced first half, the match changed after an hour of play as a result of two goals in space five minutes from Cioffi and Ambrosino. The Rossoneri tried to with pride to get back into it, pulling one back through Traorè before going looking for an equaliser in the final minutes, in which they had several chances and a good reaction, but that first win remains elusive. The schedule, however, will not fail to offer opportunities to kickstart: first, on Tuesday afternoon, with a trip to Porto in the UEFA Youth League, then another away match on Saturday morning, this time against Lecce on matchday six of the championship.

MATCH REPORT
With Gregori in the dugout in place of the suspended Coach Giunti, the Rossoneri lined up with the usual 4-3-3 led by the trident of El Hilali, Rossi, and Capone. There were few chances at the start of the game: the match was tense as the two teams defend their goals well. The first chance fell for the visitors with Cioffi in the 16th minute, while in the 24th minute the Rossoneri had a great chance with Rossi, whose header ended up slightly too high. The Roman striker popped up in attack again on 29 minutes, while in the 39th minute Napoli came close to taking the advantage when Spavone hit the crossbar.

The first chance of the second half fell for AC Milan, with a Gala right-footed shot from outside the box in the 52nd minute, but the game changed on the hour mark as the guests drew first blood: in the 61st minute, Cioffi flew off on the counterattack and did not let himself be hypnotised by Desplanches, converting to make it 1-0. The Rossoneri felt the blow and the Neapolitans quickly doubled their lead: another counterattack, this time by Ambrosino, and in the 66th minute it was 2-0. AC Milan didn’t want to give up and they reopened the match in the 78th minute with the newly-entered Traorè, who did well to gather an excellent ball from Coubis. In the closing moments, the Rossoneri tried to find an equaliser, in particular with Alesi and Robotti, but the game finished with the visitors taking all the spoils.
