The Primavera’s tricky spell continues. In today’s league derby against Inter, the Rossoneri fell to a 2-0 defeat after a below-par display. AC Milan created chances but lacked cutting edge, and, overall, the team just seemed a bit short of what was needed to really get going. Even so, the result felt harsh based on what happened on the pitch. Inter were clinical when it mattered, scoring a goal in each half through Iddrissou and Mancosu. A frustrating afternoon where nothing seemed to fall our way, but the hunger from the lads was still there.
From the draw in Rome against Lazio to a disappointing Derby, it’s been a difficult November for Giovanni Renna’s team, with no wins despite some good performances. There’s no need to lose heart: they just need to keep working, believing and pushing hard to turn things around. After matchday 13 in the Primavera 1 division, the Rossoneri sit on 17 points, right in the middle of a very tight table where the margins are small and every weekend brings a new test. The Primavera return to action at 14:00 CET on Friday 5 December, when they host Hellas Verona at the Sportitalia Village in Carate Brianza.

MATCH REPORT
The Derby got off to a lively start. In the seventh minute, Lontani tested Farronato with a curling effort with the outside of his foot. A minute later, Longoni saved a low strike from Della Mora. Inter took the lead from a 19th-minute set-piece: Cerpelletti delivered a deep free-kick, and Iddrissou headed home in the six-yard box. The Rossoneri looked to respond, with Lontani sending the ball narrowly wide (22’). Three minutes later, after the goalkeeper had parried Scotti’s powerful shot from a tight angle, Bovo threw himself in the way of Ossola’s goal-bound effort to deny us an equaliser. At the other end, Longoni thwarted Mosconi (29’), and Pinotti failed to find the target (40’). In the 44th minute, Lontani came close after being picked out by Mancioppi.
Inter came out pressing at the start of the second half: Longoni averted a dangerous situation (46’), Pinotti tried his luck but missed (47’), and Cerpelletti let fly with a speculative effort from distance (50’). After Scotti had threatened for the Rossoneri, Iddrissou headed narrowly over for the Nerazzurri after 52 minutes. A minute later, Longoni was alert to deny La Torre. It was a very open match. In the 56th minute, Ballo’s mistake handed Lontani a chance, only for Bovo to block, while Plazzotta had an opportunity two minutes later. In the 59th minute, Zukić slipped, presenting Pinotti with a chance, but he failed to find the target with his shot. The Rossoneri didn’t give up, carving out openings to attack, but they lacked cutting edge: a Zukić header lacked power (72’), Perera had an attempt blocked (83’), and an 84th-minute run from Scotti came to nothing. After Mancuso had threatened in the 86th minute, Inter doubled their advantage with one minute of normal time remaining: Marello played a low ball into the box for Mancuso, who finished first time with his left foot. It ended Inter 2-0 AC Milan.
