MILAN ACADEMY DMV: 2026 TRYOUTS
Two windows available to join the only official AC Milan Academy in the United States

Milan Academy DMV is preparing to begin its Official 2026 Tryouts, scheduled for April 28th to May 2nd, and then from May 5th to May 9th. The selection sessions are aimed at young male and female footballers from the Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia area, who want to become part of the only AC Milan Official Academy present in the United States, an important sector within the global network that currently boasts 14 Rossonero entities around the world. 

The Academy is a benchmark for the development of youth football in the area, accompanying young people on a journey that unites technical growth and personal training. The objective is to create a welcoming environment, in which each young player can express their potential through fundamental values such as excellence, seen as a constant commitment to individual improvement, teamwork, which teaches collaboration and shared responsibility, and fair play, an essential quality that guides every activity in the name of respect. 

The Milan Method provides the foundation for the project. This formative approach – which is recognised at an international level – concentrates on the development of the motor, technical, tactical and psychological abilities of the players. Learning takes place in a natural and engaging way through play and is used as an educational tool to stimulate creativity, awareness and sporting development. Each activity is tailored to the athlete’s age and stage of development, with the aim of guiding every young player towards steady and targeted improvement.

The 2026 Tryouts will offer local young people a valuable opportunity to be introduced to an excellent training model. Milan Academy DMV continues to reinforce its commitment to the community, confirming its desire to promote the values that have contributed to the Rossoneri’s great history and the construction of a high-quality path of progression for the new generations.

MILAN ACADEMY DMV

Founded in 2025 in collaboration with DMV Athletics LLC, Milan Academy DMV was established to promote the personal and athletic development of boys and girls aged 5 to 18. Through their participation in the Academy's training programs, young athletes are educated based on the core values of sportsmanship, respect, and teamwork.

An AC Milan Academy Head Coach, officially designated by AC Milan for the implementation of the project, is responsible for ensuring technical consistency with the club's methodology while consulting the local coaching staff. Thanks to this structure and the application of the "Milan Method", the Academy's activities provide each participant with a high-level football development pathway.

• Milan Academy U6 - Ages 5-6
  An introduction to motor and technical skills for the smaller children as they learn to understand and move their bodies while on the ball in the most introductory games in football coaching.
• Milan Academy U8 - Ages 7-8
  Consolidation and development of motor and coordination skills, improvement of individual technique and an introduction to the principles of individual tactics through games against an opponent.
• Milan Academy U10 - Ages 9-10
  The fine-tuning of individual technique and the development of the children's understanding of individual and team tactics as they begin to work together in different match situations.
• Milan Academy U12 - Ages 11-12
  A more in-depth understanding of offensive and defensive phases of the game; the development of and introduction to various playing systems through games and situational drills.
• Milan Academy U14 - Ages 13-14
  A fine-tuning of the children's understanding of offensive and defensive phases of the game; a more in-depth focus on various playing systems, an introduction to different tactics through team exercises.
• Milan Academy U16 - Ages 15-16
  The consolidation of a footballing philosophy and identity based on ball possession as the result of all of the children's training in their various stages of growth.
• Milan Academy U18 - Ages 17-18
  A programme centred on the specialisation of the technique, tactics, psychology and physicality required for elite competitive football.
