Bought from Monza club in summer 1998, Christian Abbiati started his adventure at AC Milan under the guidance of coach Zaccheroni as third goalkeeper, behind Sebastiano Rossi and Jens Lehmann. It took him, however, only six months to overthrow hierarchies and finish the season among the first-string players celebrating the league title. Yet Dida’s exploits forced him to seek his fortune elsewhere, but at his return he joined the first team again, and after eleven years he repeated success in the championship with the last league title won by Milan in 2011.
