AC Milan - Milanello | AC Milan

    Milanello | AC Milan

    MILANELLO POWERED BY CLIVET

Is the Rossoneri's Training Centre and one of the most forefront and futuristic centres in the footballing world. Milanello is placed on a 300m high hill, only 50km away from the city of Milan and close to Varese

The training ground in Milanello was opened in 1964 and it was historic moment with it being the first sporting facility dedicated entirely to a football club. Over the decades, Milanello set a trend and it has always been considered a great example in terms both of architecture and logistics. The facility was able to create the right spirit of cohesion and focus that is so vital in delivering success in sport.

Often a destination for coaches from around the world who want to gain professional experience by attending AC Milan training sessions, Milanello is located in a green oasis of over 160,000 square metres which also includes a pine forest and pond. It is located between Carnago, Cassano Magnago and Cairate in the Province of Varese, within the Olona Valley. One area is particularly well-known among the fans who traditionally arrive in numbers for the first day of pre-season both to encourage the players and see the team outside on the training pitch for the first time.

Today, Milanello holds an important place in the heritage of not just the Rossoneri, but all of Italian football. That was the aim of Andrea Rizzoli who was the driving foce behind its construction. The structure was further improved by Silvio Berlusconi who innovated so that the facility could live up to its full potential, considering it vital that it was up to standard for the coaches, staff and players with all the smallest details taken care of. The centre was modernised further in recent years as can be seen with the new pitches, the Sapio Life Cyro-chamber and the Milan TV studies which were moved inside the building along with the creation of a photo gallery in the central part of the clubhouse.

Many of the most recent changes regard communications. A few years ago, over 3,000 meters of cabling was installed to connect Milan TV cameras to strategic points around the facility as the Club’s in-house TV channel broadcasts all that happens at the training ground to the Rossoneri fans. Milanello also has a media room with an audio mixer and a lighting system that is suited to perfectly host live TV broadcasts, press conferences and other media engagements. From 7 July 2025, Clivet will become the first-ever Naming Rights Partner of the facility, which will officially be known as Centro Sportivo Milanello powered by Clivet.
