Demetrio Albertini grew up in AC Milan's youth sector. As a very young talent he was promoted to the first team by Arrigo Sacchi who fielded him next to expert players like Rijkaard and Ancelotti. After a positive loan spell at Padova for a season, he expressed his full potential with Fabio Capello who made him the pivot of the midfield of the "Invincibles" The extraordinary tactical sense, vision of the game and precise touch allowed Milan's "Metronome" to win, in fourteen seasons, five league titles, two European Champion Clubs’ Cups, two European Super Cups, an Intercontinental Cup and three Italian League Super Cups.
