Serious, focused, sober on and off the pitch, Giovanni Galli arrived at AC Milan in his full maturity, after a long apprenticeship period at Fiorentina and two World Cups. During Sacchi’s era he was always the first-choice goalkeeper and proved to be decisive in the important moments. Among his memorable enterprises there is a quite impossible save on Careca at San Paolo stadium when Milan overtook Napoli, and two penalty kicks saved in Belgrade. In Milan jersey he conquered a Scudetto, two European Champion Clubs’ Cups, an Intercontinental Cup, a European Super Cup and an Italian League Super Cup.
