Throughout his illustrious career, Baresi embodied unwavering loyalty, staying with AC Milan even during its most challenging years. As captain, he led the team under the guidance of Arrigo Sacchi and Fabio Capello to global dominance in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Baresi retired with an extraordinary record of 719 official matches and an impressive collection of trophies: 6x Serie A titles, 3x European Cups, 2x Intercontinental Cups, and 4x Italian Supercups. In honor of his legendary contributions, AC Milan retired the number 6 jersey. Celebrating 50 years with AC Milan in 2024, Baresi continues to represent the Club’s values as its Honorary Vice President, a role he has held since 2020.
