HERNÁNDEZ MVP FROM AC MILAN V VENEZIA

A goal and assist from the bench for Theo at San Siro

When you come on as a substitute, you aim to make a difference. And this is exactly what Theo Hernández did during the 32 minutes he spent on the pitch. The Frenchman has been voted by the Rossoneri fans as the team’s MVP from AC Milan 2-0 Venezia, the Diavolo’s fourth league victory (third at San Siro) of the current campaign. The full-back picked up 50% of the vote share, finishing ahead of Saelemaekers, Díaz and Romagnoli. After coming on for Ballo-Touré in the 58th minute, the Rossoneri No.19 made his mark, providing the assist for Brahim's opener and putting the game to bed with a fine left-footed strike across the goalkeeper following Saelemaekers’s excellent pass.

In between these two pieces of play, he tested Venezia shot-stopper Mäenpää with a dangerous free kick. It was an impressive appearance from Hernández, who became the first Rossoneri defender to find the net and set up a teammate to score in a single Serie A game since the 2004/05 season. In general, he’s the first Diavolo player to achieve this feat since 2012. An evening he won't be forgetting in a hurry, then, and one which will hopefully spur him on with the Rossoneri's next fixtures in Serie A and the Champions League in mind. Bravo, Theo!
