    Champions LeagueFebruary 12th 2025

There is no margin for error at San Siro this evening. The Rossoneri will be kicking off at 18:45 CET against Feyenoord for the return leg of their Champions League play-off. There is only one way that AC Milan can guarantee qualification following their 1-0 away loss in Rotterdam: winning by a one-goal margin. A Round of 16 place is up for grabs and any result other than victory would bring our European campaign to a close. Let's get ready for kick-off with our Preview.

    LATEST FROM MILANELLO
AC Milan will be heading into the fixture off of a 1-0 Serie A win against Hellas Verona, a result that gave the team some much-needed belief. The recent defeat in the first leg against the Dutchmen revealed a few issues that we will have to overcome, but this time we can make the most of our fantastic home crowd that have made our Champions League home record so strong this season. At San Siro, we have won all of our last three European fixtures. Coach Conceição's boys are determined to continue this streak and to make up for the away defeat. Bondo, Jiménez, Jović and Sottil will be unavailable as well as the injured E. Royal, Loftus-Cheek and Florenzi. Yunus Musah is back from suspension while Fofana, Theo and Chukwueze are cautioned.

Zlatan Ibrahimović spoke on the eve of the match: "We need to put in a different performance to the one in Rotterdam. We're counting on our fans for a lift. The team needs to be focused, aggressive and more clinical, and go into the game like it's a final. It's important to win. We absolutely need a result if we're to go through. We'll need great teamwork."

    LATEST FROM FEYENOORD
Feyenoord will be coming to San Siro off of a goalless draw against NAC Breda last time out in Eredivise. Bosschaart's team were solid defensively, but they were slightly lacking in attack. Their win against us last time out, however, gave Feyenoord belief and they will start this leg with a crucial advantage that they will try their utmost to keep in order to progress to the next round. Despite difficulties away from home, the Dutch team have shown that they can compete at a high-level this year. Ueda and Timber, both injured, are out for the game.

The thoughts of Bosschart on the eve of the match: “We are preparing in the best way. We’re 1-0 up and have a great chance to progress to the next round. We will face a different sort of AC Milan team to the one we faced in Rotterdam, so we have to be ready to react. We’ve analysed the match well and hope that our plans work”.

    PRE-MATCH STATS

    • AC Milan have won all of their last three home games in the Champions League. The last time we won four in a row in this competition was in December 2007 while the first time that we won four games in a row in the same Champions League campaign dates back to 2004/05 (we managed six wins back-to-back).
    • Since his Champions League debut in September 2021, Rafael Leão is one of only two players to have completed 100 dribbles in the competition (100), alongside Vinícius Júnior (137). The Portuguese holds the record for most successful dribbles so far this campaign (33), and three of these came in the first leg against Feyenoord.
    • The last time that we completed a turnaround in the Champions League after losing the first leg was in the 2006/07 semi-final against Manchester United (2-3 loss in the first leg, 3-0 win in the second).
