AC MILAN vs AS ROMA: THE CLUB TO COMMEMORATE COVID-19 VICTIMS

The Rossoneri will also be honouring AC Milan legend Pierino Prati, who passed away earlier this week at the age of 73

AC Milan makes its return to the San Siro after the lockdown on Sunday 28th July to take on AS Roma as part of the 28th round of the Serie A.

Ahead of the game, AC Milan will be honouring those who passed away and those who suffered as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic in Italy and all over the world. The commemoration will be made of various moments to create an emotional flow of remembrance and meditation, starting with a video in memory of the Covid-19 victims made by the Milan Media House. The video is narrated by the Club's official speaker Gegio, who is also going to praise all doctors, nurses, police officers, volunteers and all those who helped people in need during this health emergency.

The San Siro stadium will feature a dedicated choreography with the seats of the First and Second Orange Ring set up to symbolize the lives lost during the pandemic. 18 AC Milan shirts are going to be displayed in one row of the central stand as a token to the passion and love of the Rossoneri fans who left us.

The Club will also pay tribute to legend Piero Prati (globally known as "Pierino"), one of the symbols of AC Milan, who contributed to the history of the Rossoneri. Before kick-off, Captain Alessio Romagnoli will lay down forty-six white roses (to symbolise the year the AC Milan striker was born) next to the home bench alongside a number 11 jersey - the number that Prati wore throughout his AC Milan career with pride and passion. The club will also hold a minute's silence, during which a tribute video in memory of Pierino will be shown. AC Milan and AS Roma (for which Piero Prati played in his career) will wear a black armband during the game.

A special initiative has been dedicated to the fans: they will have the opportunity to be close to the Rossoneri team thanks to the 'Fan Board Together' initiative. Fans who send their photo or video through the together.acmilan.com page will have the opportunity to see their content appear on the additional LED screen (110 metres long and 2 metres high) installed on the Arancio Stand for all remaining home games

AC Milan vs AS Roma. "Together Forever".
