In line with its ongoing commitment to promoting a culture of inclusivity and maximum accessibility, AC Milan officially launches Connect Me Too at San Siro today, Saturday 24 May, during the match against Monza, scheduled for 20:45 CEST. It is the first app in Italy dedicated to audio description for blind and visually impaired Rossoneri supporters.

This marks the latest milestone in a journey that began five seasons ago, when the Club became the first in Italy to offer an audio-descriptive commentary service that allows fans with visual impairments to fully experience the emotions of football and the passion for the Rossoneri colours. Since then, continuous work – in collaboration with a specialised technology partner and the Fondazione Istituto dei Ciechi di Milano – has enabled the development of improved solutions designed to engage all interested fans, both inside and outside the stadium, enhance their autonomy, and move away from the use of disposable devices.

Provided by a specially trained audio-descriptive commentator capable of delivering a detailed account of the match, tailored to the needs of blind and visually impaired fans, the service was awarded the “Premio Braille” by the Unione Italiana dei Ciechi e degli Ipovedenti. To date, over 560 individuals have registered with the Fondazione Istituto dei Ciechi di Milano to access the service and tune in either from an exclusive sector at San Siro – which also offers dedicated Wi-Fi accessible directly from each seat – from other areas of the stadium, or from anywhere in the world.

In recent months, the Club has worked to ensure the proper functioning of the service at San Siro – a stadium with unique infrastructural features and the largest seating capacity in Italy – identifying innovative solutions to eliminate any delay or interference and to automatically manage audio levels.

During the AC Milan v Monza pre-match – which will also see the on-field debut of the new 2025/26 Home Kit – fans accredited through the Fondazione Istituto dei Ciechi di Milano will have the opportunity to physically touch the new jersey the men's and women's teams will wear next season, while its colours and design will be described to them through the app's audio description.

To access the service, fans must contact sansiropertutti@istciechimilano.it, follow the instructions provided, and have an internet-enabled device on which to download the new Connect Me Too app for free, and a pair of compatible headphones. To make access easier, the Fondazione Istituto dei Ciechi di Milano recently hosted a free training session for all interested supporters.

The audio-descriptive service is part of the "AC Milan for All" programme and is promoted by the Club with the support of Fondazione Milan, with the aim of making both its physical and digital spaces increasingly accessible and inclusive. Recognised as a best practice by FIGC and Lega Serie A and presented on several occasions to other Serie A and Serie B clubs, the initiative has been embraced at various levels by federations, leagues, and football – and other sports – organisations.
