23 May 2007, the day of the Champions League final: the re-match against Liverpool. A 31-hour journey by bus and boat to arrive in Athens. No one, absolutely nobody, had any doubts about the outcome of the match. There was even a boy who was released from hospital well in advance to leave that Tuesday morning.
Before that event, on his left thigh, he'd already tattooed the Cup with the number 7 inside! Only AC Milan supporters can truly understand. We knew we could be calm because AC Milan could never have lost that match. As time would show...
