

I grew up in a family that supported AC Milan. My dad’s idol has always been Rivera and he started bringing me to the San Siro when I was really young in the early ’80s. I remember my first idols, Nils Liedholm on the bench, Tassotti, Baresi, Battistini and Di Bartolomei on the pitch. Followed by Hateley and Wilkins. The one thing I will never forget is the first time I saw Gullit celebrate, just a few steps away from me, after scoring his first goal for Milan against Parma in the Coppa Italia. I was so impressed, he was incredible: just ask Francini of Napoli who was dragged, as he held onto to Gullit shirt, from the midfield to the goal line…
