I was born 8 July 1989, just a few weeks after AC Milan won the European Cup for the third time, 20 years after the previous triumph. My parents were “Sacchi Loyalists” and on that fateful 24 May, I had decided to go celebrate the victory over Steaua București. My parents claim I was so excited I kicked up a storm in my mother’s womb as the blaring horns invaded my private little realm. They nicknamed me the “Little Ultra.” Years later my father said to me, “My son, you’ve got AC Milan in your blood.” I can’t deny the thrill I feel when I think back to my Rossonero passion which started before I was even born.
