2 January 2966: my two older brothers “convinced” 12-year-old me to go see AC Milan take on Atalanta at San Siro. At the time, I have to be honest, I preferred Inter but experiencing the atmosphere at the stadium, breathing in the passion and love of the Rossoneri faithful, my brothers’ “gentle persuasion” and the joy released by Sormani’s winning goal made me a passionate Rossonero convert. Sometime later a fortuitous meeting with Gianni Rivera on the stairs leading to the AC Milan HQ, on piazza Sant’Alessandro, fortified my love for the team I still adore to this day.

True, life-long love is often born through a mix of random chance and family tradition. If add Gianni Rivera and Angelo Benedicto Sormani into the mix as well, it'd be fair to say you never had a chance to resist the Rossonero allure, Maurizio.
OP-ED is your personal Rossonero experience, your story, your first time, that match you can never forget, the emotions that have seared these colours into your soul.
