It was Christmas and under the tree, I had the best present I could have wished for: two tickets to AC Milan v Udinese! I would finally get to go to the Stadium with my dad and I couldn’t wait. When the day finally arrived, I was brimming with excitement, my father and I were so sure we’d win that match but as the game progressed our conviction started to falter. Our seats were perfect, I had a great view of the field and could see all the banners and pendants, hear all the chants… I felt like I was home.
As the match began, I was buzzing but Udinese scored almost immediately. The atmosphere soured, and things didn’t get any better as the first half progressed. At the break, Coach Pioli decided to bring Rebić on for Bonaventura. I wasn’t convinced it was such a good choice. My initial scepticism would make the final result all the more incredible as Rebić scored a brace! The roller coaster of emotions is hard to describe: first we equalized, then Theo put us ahead, but then Lasagna equalized. Injury time was about to end when that half-time change turned out to be perfect! Rebić scored the winner, few have experienced such a flurry of emotions on their first time at San Siro!
