Back in 1984, when I was 15, it was really hard to watch the Derby. There were no live broadcasts and tickets cost a fortune. Even though it's embarrassing to say today, my best friend and I climbed over the gates to watch the games.
An arduous task, we were at the top of the ramp by around 10.30 am, ready with our backpacks and sandwiches. And then finally, our most beautiful memory materialized in the afternoon around 4 pm.
Hateley's legendary goal won the Derby for us and in our excitement, we'd climbed down the stands to be among the other Rossoneri fans celebrating. I remember that Derby as the most beautiful ever lived together with my friend, Baldo. Hi Marco, wherever you are, Forza Milan!

What a wonderful derby with such an iconic goal. To this day, Leonardo, your memories of that day are still very much alive and vibrant. Winning a derby is always special but being there in person makes it so much more.
