A special night, a night dedicated to AC Milan. Through their social media channels, also the players shared their joy and happiness on reaching the first Champions League semi-final since 2007 to their many followers. Let's take a look at some of their post on Instagram:
What emotion Olivier Giroud gave us last night: a missed penalty, and Meret's block with his feet soon after. But the great spirit and sacrifice shown by the French striker was finally awarded after 43', when he gave the Rossoneri the lead. Oli shared a message of pure joy and a series of memorable shots, that can be added to his special story at AC Milan.
Sharing the same photo as Giroud was also Brahim Díaz, another key player to have featured at Maradona. It is a photo with a massive meaning, as the players pose with the shirt of a teammate: it's the sign of a special group.
All good things come in threes, and Rafael Leão also showed a picture of his teammates. "Humbleness won in the end", said the Portuguese player, and UEFA's Man of the Match, afterwards.
Captain Davide Calabria gave another monumental performance keeping Kvaratskhelia at bay, and the Rossoneri number 2's comments demonstrated the enthusiam and joy seen in the group photo, as they celebrated in the changing rooms at Maradona. It was a shot also shared by other teammates, like Kalulu and Thiaw.
In defence, Fikayo Tomori, together with Simon Kjær, was impenetrable. He put out a group photo and three celebratory shots from Maradona that the Englishman saved on his profile.
