AQM READY FOR THE ESERIE A TIM 2020/21

AC Milan's Esports team will consist of the two pro players Diego Campagnani "CrazyFatGamer" and Fabio Denuzzo, as well as the draftee Jacopo Favero "jacopo230703"

In November, AC Milan and QLASH, a leading company in the European gaming sector, brought AQM into being. AQM is the Rossoneri Esports team that will take part in the eSerie A TIM 2020/21 organised by the Lega Serie A.

The virtual competition will see 17 teams be divided into four groups. The top three teams from each group will then progress to the Winner Bracket, while those that finish last will then be involved in the Loser Bracket. Following the Bracket Playoffs, the four best sides from the Winner Bracket and the four winning teams from the Loser Bracket will compete in the Final Eight. The Winner Bracket will see teams play matches over two legs, while straight knockout games will take place in the Loser Bracket. The first eSerie A TIM champion will be crowned following a two-legged final.

AQM has been inserted into Group D, along with BFC 1909 Esports Facile Ristrutturare, Parma Esports and Torino FC Esports team, with the matches scheduled for Wednesday 17 March. The team’s involvement in the eSerie A TIM 2020/21 is an important step in the partnership between AC Milan and QLASH, one which came into being with a long-term strategy in mind. The Club is aiming to seize new opportunities to reach younger fans, consolidate its position in the entertainment sector and maintain a focus on innovative digital initiatives, with the founding of "The Studios: Milan Media House" – the Rossoneri’s hub of media production and distribution – being a part of this.

Casper Stylsvig, AC Milan’s Chief Revenue Officer, had the following to say: "AC Milan’s involvement in the official Esports competition organised by the Lega Serie A is part of a journey of innovative growth. The partnership between our Club and QLASH makes us proud, and we look forward to seeing our AQM team take part in the eSerie A TIM 2020/21."

Luca Pagano, co-founder and CEO of Qlash added the following: “Supporting AC Milan as they take part in the eSerie A TIM for the first time is a source of pride and comes with responsibly. We’re convinced that this will be a unique experience and we can’t wait to see the AQM players in action.”

To mark the start of eSerie A, it’ll be possible to purchase the official shirts of the AQM team at discounted prices from Casa Milan’s official store and at store.acmilan.com.
