If we look at the numbers since the Primavera 1 TIM division resumed, Coach Giunti’s Rossoneri have picked up twelve points from six matches following four wins and two defeats. Nine of these twelve points have come on home soil: only against Lazio have our U19s emerged victorious on the road, with Torino and Bologna managing to get the better of them.
Despite the fact that matches are currently being played behind closed doors, it’s clear that the Diavolo are enjoying their football at Vismara. AC Milan didn’t just pick up three wins against SPAL, Sassuolo and Empoli, they also produced three convincing performances, especially against the latter. Eight goals scored (2-2-4) and just one conceded following a misunderstanding between Jungdal and Michelis at the back.
The Rossoneri are thus a force to be reckoned with at home. Their only defeat of the season at Vismara came at the end of September, when they were undeservedly beaten by Atalanta on matchday two. Now, a Derby clash against Inter awaits, with the cross-city rivals sitting just one place apart in the table. Both teams currently have 15 points and an eye on the very top positions.
AC Milan have the best defensive record in the league (just eight goals conceded in nine matches) and are also developing as an offensive unit, with El Hilali and Nasti providing new options in attack. And then there’s the home form, which the Rossoneri will undoubtedly be looking to build upon.
