The league season started in October with a defeat (1-0 to Fiorentina) and a draw (2-2 with Lazio). After over four months without football, the Rossoneri U18s got back to work on a football field. A 0-0 draw with Atalanta is a result that we should think of as positive, especially because it was taken against one of the most fearsome sides in the competition. It was a good performance, which will give Coach Terni's boys a boost for this restart.
"We worked hard with the aim and hope to play again," said the coach. "It was important that we had a solid game against one of the strongest teams in the league."
Our lads will need a bit of continuity for this mini season with a packed fixture list, which will go on deep into the summer. The schedule sees the Rossoneri have an off week next Sunday, before taking on Monza on 14 March, followed by clashes with Sassuolo, Parma, Torino, Roma and Inter.
There's plenty of desire to do well and to surprise: "We went into that game against Atalanta with a lot of expectations and a lot of unknowns," Terni continued, "because we hadn't played for quite some time and we didn't know what our level was. My team gave a great response."
